How To Be A Good Pt Englander

How To Be A Good Pt Englander
To be a good pt Englander you have to be polite so you can make friends with other kids. Another thing you have to do is wear it with pride that is the way you can look smart. Another thing how you can be a good pt Englander is be cyber smart this way you can look smart online and not leave any bad footprints online too.

Being polite as a pt Englander is say your manners like Please, Thank you and Excuse me. You call them by their name. An example of when you can say these things is when you get something you say Thank you (Name) Or when you are trying to go through people you say Excuse me (Name) or when you want something you say please (Name).

Student at pt England school Wear it with pride. Because that is the way you can look smart be tidy and represent your school and family.Wear it with pride is like tucking in your shirt under your jumper and not tie your jumper around your waist

Being cyber smart is another way you can be smart online. We use our Chromebooks for learning and researching not for playing games and listening to music we use it for good things. Don’t play games at the wrong time when visitors come and see you doing those bad things.

This can help you when you're helping a new kid that comes to your school you do these things and they’ll start as a good child. they will wear it with pride and be Cyber smart and be polite.

A Day At The Cinemas

On the 9th of October My mum dad and I went to the cinemas to find our seats as we sat down i was excited to see the maze runner but we had to go toilet, when we came back from the toilets the movie started. it started  off when there was a man that couldn't remember anything even his name but a man called Alby just told him that “you’ll remember a hour or two” and when it was a two hours ago he was having a competition with the leader of the glade (village and people) Gally.

he was having a wrestling competition if you go out of the circle you lose the match, until he was pushed to the ground he said “Thomas, my name is Thomas I remember my name! My name is Thomas!” One of the people from the crowd said “correct!” then the crowd went wild “welcome home Thomas” Gally said.

When Thomas was going to look at something called the maze a Large maze but if you get stuck you will have to survive a night with gravers there mechanical spider aliens there like spiders with stingers that make people get mind controlled to kill people but Thomas came back to the glade and shouted “help help!” and everyone went to help out Thomas.

when the maze runner was nearly finish we got ready to go out of the hunters plaza the movie finished we went outside and I continued eating the popcorn while we were going to the car park I was so full and tired of eating popcorn.

A Whole Day At The Museum

A Whole Day At The Museum
On Thursday 18th of September Class 6, 7 and 8 went on a trip to the museum. We took a bus to the museum and it felt like we were taking a road trip because the museum was in the city.

When we got there Ruth welcomed us into the museum, it looked like a massive bank with a huge amount of money. When we got inside there were two schools that came in before us. We went to sit down and get some rules. When we finished listening to the rules we had to put our bags in cages. Class 6 and 7 went to do a 2 hour maori programme. Then our teacher Mr. Somerville told us to get into groups of four or five and my group was Henry, Levi, Maurice and my parent helper my mum and we could go everywhere we wanted.

Where we went to explore first was a volcano room it showed an example what it would be like when you're in a volcanic eruption and how would it feel like and some rock music were you just hit with a hammer and it makes a beautiful sound. Then we moved on to another room and explored more and more until it was time for us to go to the marae and do some fun Maori activities like find what will catch our kai (food) and how it attracts it and what it is made of.

We had all that adventure and now we finished all our energy for Friday, we were all tired now we all can go home and go to sleep.

Use My Brain, Use My Heart, I'm Going To Be Cybersmart !

Use my brain, Use my heart, I'm going to be
Cybersmart !

Use my brain, use my heart, I'm going to be cyber smart is a korero. It is to help people that are being dodgy during learning time and doing the wrong thing like playing music when your not suppose too.

Use my brain means think twice about what you’re doing, what is going to happen and make your decision if you want to do the wrong thing or the right thing. Use your brain like it is something that you can control.

Use my heart means that if you're doing a bad thing and feeling like someone is looking at you, and is going to tell on someone. Using my heart is using the way you feel in the right direction instead of the wrong direction.

Being cyber smart means that you think about the footprint that you’re leaving behind. For example when you go to play an online game, you do not put down other people playing otherwise you might get reported, for putting down other players.

How this korero can help you, is that it helps you stop going the wrong way instead of the right way, which means listen to your brain, listen to your feelings and leave a smart footprint. Go the right way instead of the wrong way!

Culture - Punctuation

This is a punctuation problem that we had to fix and put it in the right order.

Explanation Made Up Commonwealth

Magic mud run was made in New Zealand. It was invented by a student named Lorenzo. The aim of the game is to get the longest time without sinking in the magic mud. There is a big swimming pool and you need to try not to fall over.

The equipment you need is athletics shoes and your country uniform. Where this sport is held is somewhere you have a big pool and have a lot of space to do tricks and you will get bonus points.

There are 29 players in each team. The positions of the teams are that one of the 29 players goes on to the magic mud pool and the other 28 players have to wait and support their player in the arena.

Friday 22 August 2014

Annyong Means Hi

In Korea the schools there are two stories but in New Zealand we have a one storey but with big fields and grass. In Korea they have concrete instead of grass and they have to put the shoes on when they go outside and when they go inside they have to take there shoes off. In Korea they have sandy rusty and old playgrounds but in NZ they have new painted playgrounds.

Holiday Highlight

Guess what I did in the holidays?  Last week me and my cousins were just bored and just watching cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and the Fifa world cup until my mum came and told us if we wanted to go somewhere and we shouted “YES!” So she gave us a surprise.

She took us to rainbows end! The first ride we went on was the Family kart's. Next we went to the pirate ship but we had to stay in the middle because me and my mum have butterflies every time we go high in the air. My cousins weren't that excited until we went to the scorpion kart's its like family kart's but you can drive by yourself. I had to stay with my cousin xela because we didn't know how to drive yet but I had the height of the meter line, the next ride was my favourite the bumper kart's it had a long line. we waited for 5 minutes and finally we made it to the front of the line, next the friend of  the bumper kart's the bumper boats it was wet every time I bumped into other people.

the next day she gave us another surprise so she took us to the movies to watch transformers 4 age of extinction it was a awesome movie until the best part came in were the dinobots came in when optimus prime riding Grim lock the Tyrannosaurus Rex the king of the dinobots and bumblebee riding swoop the tridactyl. then the next movie we watched was how to train your dragon 2 it was a great and sad movie its like you don’t know what's coming in the movie, hiccup lost his father the chief of Berk but now hiccup is following his steps to being a chief and so is toothless he is the alpha of all dragons.

until the day has come the last day of holidays and my Sunday school exams I did the test but I think I have 100% it was the best week of the holidays.

Whaling

Did you know that Whaling is a sad thing to do?
Whaling is a sad thing to do you hunt them and kill them just for meat and to collect oil. In ancient times whaling was a good thing to do for Inuit people because they don’t have that much food, intuits in the Iceland they hunted caribou, seals and fish. container boats carry the whale meat inside the containers.

Maori people don’t have strong boats they have weak boat.Maori people hunt whales a different way instead of killing them, they just wait for them to get stuck on the the beach. People use the whale bones to carve out a decoration out of it. Maori people use whales for many things.

TANK BOATS
