As a Pt England student, we have annual swimming lessons at the Glen innes Pools. We go for half an hour every day over two weeks, to improve our skills.
The year 6 went to the G.I pools. When we got to the pools we got changed in the toilets into our togs. The we went to the shower to wash off the wax, hair gel. and dirt.
After that we had to wait, our bodies were shivering and shaking by the pool.
To warm up we had to use flutter board, To Swim to the other side of the pool.
The thing we did was, arm circles, rocket arms and fast little kicks.
Rocket arms are keeping your hands, straight behind your head and your hands together. After the end of the swimming lesson we had a race with buddy, to the other side of the pool and we got to do freestyle.
On the final day of swimming the instructors lined us up so that we could have relay races.
The instructors were testing us to see how far we could swim, to the other side of the pool that was the most amazing swimming lesson I’ve ever had.
Thanks Mr burt for paying for professional coaches to teach us.
