How To Make Anzac Cookies & the history of anzac cookies

When WW1 & 2 were going we the cookies were ginger nut cookies and sent on a ship but when anzac cookies were made they had to stay in New Zealand. First you need to have rolled oats, coconut, flour and sugar in a bowl. Next you melt a half a block of butter in a small pan and stir it with golden syrup, and get warm water and put baking soda and mix them both together and put vanilla ascent with it. finally mix it all together and get water and wash hand and don't dry them next roll your mixing into a ball. I really enjoyed myself making some of these Anzac cookies.

Trip To Polyfest

Guess what happened yesterday? The Year 7 and 8 people went to Polyfest yesterday It was really fun when we were on the bus singing talking and what we might do at Polyfest. Soon when the bus driver dropped us off at gate 3. We had to wait for a long time and my feet were getting tiring so I sat down and waited and waited.

Next we started going in and checking out our bags and pockets just to make sure we don’t have any dangerous weapons on us. We walked to the ASB tent and we sat down next to the other schools that came in gate 3.

Soon all of a sudden John key came out of no where and talked to us about what is going to happen everyone was surprised that they saw John key. After John key finished giving his speech we went to do our activities. The first activity we did was a tennis ball hitting time limit, What we had to do was hit the tennis ball and see how fast it goes.

Something I liked at ASB Polyfest was asking for free stuff and getting free lollies.

What I learnt at Polyfest was that Young people dance for their culture and to show what they do in their culture.

Polyfest

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, fakaalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

whanau and young kids participate in these stages because it is there culture.Performers go through hard things to get people to watch them,  Learn the dance, Know the song to the dance, learn how to move and know where you're gonna be positioned and remember who you're next to, they had to learn all that to get perfect.

Polyfest promote our different culture because it shows creativity and responsibility in the dances.

I’m looking forward to polyfest because I want to see different dance culture because some are fast and some are slow.

My goals for 2015 is to do get a better level at writing and maths so I can achieve my goals at doing anything to achieve my goals is to write more story's and use more strategy's for maths and to. Another goal for this year is to be faster at posting my blogs and to do that is not to talk or get distracted while doing my work.

My goals for this term is to participate more in class and listen more and to do that is to hear more and not to talk while the teacher is talking and is to respect people more. Also to get a higher level at reading to do that is to explain more story's and read more.
